The first Collector’s Edition from A24, Ari Aster’s 171-minute director’s cut will look as crisp on your bookshelf as it does in 4K Ultra HD. The Blu-ray disc comes enclosed in a clothbound, Hårga-yellow slipcase, accompanied by an illustrated 62-page booklet featuring original artworks from the film by Ragnar Persson and a foreword by Martin Scorsese! The special edition is set ship on July 20!

It was previously announced that the director’s cut of the film would be released in the UK on October 28, 2019 with the US being able to access the extended edition exclusively on Apple TV when purchasing the original film.

Midsommar follows a couple, played by Jack Reynor (Strange Angel) and Florence Pugh (Black Widow), who are traveling through Sweden to visit their friend’s rural hometown for its fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.

The film also stars Will Poulter (Detroit), William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), Ellora Torchia (Broadchurch), Archie Madekwe (Teen Spirit) and relative newcomer Vilhem Blomgren.
