Sundance Now Unveils October TV & Movie Slate
Sundance Now has revealed their October slate, including the U.S. debut of ITV’s highest rated new drama Des, the bone-chilling true crime drama starring David Tennant as the infamous serial killer Dennis Nilsen, as well as the streaming premiere of the steamy legal drama The Split Season 2, and the new docuseries The Dakota Entrapment Tapes. The Split, Season 2 Ep 1 (Streaming Premiere)
Season two delves back into the world of high-flying family of lawyers, where Hannah Stern (Nicola Walker, MI-5, River) is busy negotiating complex divorce cases whilst being confronted by difficulties in her own family.
We Got This, Ep 5 (Sundance Now Exclusive)
Another episode of the darkly comedic conspiracy thriller. A choice between a new lead that raises more questions than answers and an extremely risky plan that could likely crack the Palme case wide open causes divisions within the group. Desperate to save his marriage, George (creator and star Schiaffino Musarra, The Man with the Red Horn) goes it alone, diving headfirst into his most absurd idea yet. Another episode of the supernatural crime thriller. The community comes together to bury the dead. David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Good Omens) stars in a bone-chilling true-crime drama focusing on one of the most infamous serial killers in UK history – Dennis Nilsen. Known as the ‘kindly killer’, Nilsen was a local civil servant who spent five years murdering boys and young men he met on the streets of Soho from 1978 to 1983. He would meet and befriend these men before offering them food or lodgings for the evening back at his North London flat. When he was finally caught on 9 February 1983, Nilsen had murdered a total of fifteen men over a period of five years, making him Britain’s most prolific serial killer of the time. Des delves into the mind of one of the most emotionally elusive serial killers the world has ever seen. Can we ever really understand the mind of a psychopathic killer?
