With all of the surprising revelations last week that the in-production third installment of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man was seemingly setting up a live-action Spider-Verse, ComingSoon.net asked our readers who they’d like to see bring the role of Miles Morales to live-action in a future film and with nearly 1200 votes, one former Disney star is leading the pack of a number of potential stars in our readers’ eyes. Check out the results of the poll below!

Who Should Play Miles Morales Live-Action in a Spider-Man Movie?
Top Five
In a surprising turn of events, despite starring in the character’s acclaimed cinematic debut, actor Shameik Moore landed at the bottom of our top five for the poll, with former Disney and Brockmire star Tyrel Jackson Williams leading the group as the actor our readers would most like to see bring Miles to life in a big-screen live-action adaptation. The rest of our poll results are as follows:
While Garfield’s casting is currently set, offering him the chance to once again face Jamie Foxx’s Electro after The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Maguire is reportedly still in talks with the two studios for his reprisal of his career-defining role, but should it go through, he will be in good company as on-screen love Dunst is also confirmed to return as Mary Jane Watson, while Garfield’s screen romantic partner Emma Stone’s involvement is currently unknown.

Tom Holland will return for the untitled third Spider-Man film as the titular wall-crawler alongside Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, going up against Jamie Foxx’s Electro. Given the ending of Far From Home, however, any number of his rogues’ gallery are also likely eager for a fight. The third installment to the MCU’s Spider-Man films will also feature the return of Zendaya (Euphoria, Dune) as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned.
While most of the original series cast are set to return for the threequel, Foxx’s casting further blurs the lines across Sony’s three web-slinging franchises, with the previous installment bringing back J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson from Sam Raimi’s trilogy and the studio’s Sony Universe of Marvel Characters led by Venom expected to crossover into the Marvel Cinematic Universe series soon.

Co-written by Glazer in her feature writing debut and director John Lee (The Last O.G., Broad City) on a story co-developed by Alissa Nutting and Lee, the film is described as a contemporary Rosemary’s Baby and centers on Lucy (Glazer), who has struggled to get pregnant with her partner Adrian (Justin Theroux, The Leftovers) and the two then turn to their dream fertility specialist, Dr. Hindle (Pierce Brosnan, James Bond franchise). But after becoming pregnant with a healthy baby girl, Lucy begins to notice something sinister through Hindle’s gleaming charm and she sets out to uncover the unsettling truth about him and her own “birth story.”
“It’s going to be insane,” Glazer said in an episode of the Variety and iHeart podcast The Big Ticket With Marc Malkin. “It’s about the patriarchy…as expressed through medicine.”
In addition to Glazer, Brosnan and Theroux, the cast for the film will also include Zainab Jah (The Good Lord Bird), Gretchen Mol (Manchester by the Sea), Sophia Bush (Love, Victor, Chicago Med), Josh Hamilton (13 Reasons Why, Eighth Grade) and Kelly AuCoin (The Good House, Billions). Glazer also produced the film with Lee and Jonathan Wang.

Hulu’s acquisition of False Positive not only sees the film join a library already full of acclaimed efforts such as the sci-fi comedy Palm Springs, horror satire Bad Hair, Hitchcockian thriller Run and gay holiday rom-com Happiest Season, it also marks the latest collaboration between A24 and the streaming platform, its most notably being the award-winning seres Ramy from eponymous creator/star Youssef. It also comes on the heels of the service’s announcement at last week’s Disney Investor Day that they would continue to ramp up their original film library following the successes of said films.
